PLACEMENT POLICY

Placements are not a lottery. They are a bridge - built with discipline, credibility, and accountability. Every student who steps onto this bridge must walk responsibly.

1. Eligibility Criteria

  • Only final-year students with no active disciplinary action are eligible.
  • Students must meet minimum academic criteria as specified by the recruiting company.
  • Mandatory registration with the Career Planning and Development Centre (CPD) is required.
  • 90 percent attendance in placement training sessions, mock interviews, and pre-placement talks is compulsory.

2. Registration & Documentation

  • Students must submit accurate and verified information (resume, marksheets, IDs).
  • Any false or misleading data will result in immediate debarment from placements.
  • A student can register only once for the placement season.

3. Application Rules

  • Students must apply only through official channels shared by the CPD.
  • Applying and then skipping tests/interviews without valid reason will invite penalties.
  • Once applied, participation in all stages of the recruitment process is mandatory.

4. Offer Policy

  • A student who receives one final offer may be:
    • Blocked from further drives, or
    • Allowed limited opportunities based on CTC slabs (1.5 Times of earlier offer)
  • Offer letters must be shared with the CPD immediately after receipt.
  • Multiple offer holding without disclosure is strictly prohibited.

5. Acceptance & Commitment

  • Once an offer is accepted, it is considered final and binding.
  • Backing out after acceptance is a serious breach of ethics and may lead to:
    • Blacklisting from future drives
    • Reporting to the recruiting organization
    • Institutional disciplinary action

6. Code of Conduct

  • Students must maintain professional behavior during:
    • Pre-placement talks
    • Online/offline tests
    • Interviews and HR interactions
  • Any act of misconduct, indiscipline, or misrepresentation will lead to immediate disqualification.

7. External Placements

  • Students securing off-campus placements must:
    • Inform the CPD in writing
    • Submit a copy of the offer letter
  • Once placed off-campus, participation in on-campus drives may be restricted.

8. Attendance & Academics

  • Placement activities do not exempt students from academic responsibilities.
  • Students must ensure minimum attendance as per university norms.

9. Penalties

Failure to follow the placement policy may result in:

  • Temporary or permanent ban from placement activities
  • Cancellation of placement support
  • Institutional disciplinary proceedings

10. Final Authority

  • The Career Planning and Development Centre (CPD) in consultation with the University authorities, holds the final decision-making power in all placement-related matters.
