New batch, new beginnings. On 19th August 2026, the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies at Future University, Bareilly, held its orientation for the freshly admitted BBA and B.Com. students. Nothing fancy about it - just a chance for students to settle in, figure out what their course would actually demand from them, and start thinking, even a little, about where all this could take them down the line.
Present at the event were Chancellor Mr. Mukesh Gupta, Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Rajendra Sinha, Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr. Anubhav Singh, and Director IQAC Prof. (Dr.) R. K. Sharma, each adding a sense of occasion to the day.
The part students kept talking about afterwards, though, was the guest session. Mr. Vijay Kumar, who works as a manager at Flipkart, didn't bother with the usual motivational-speech format. No big inspirational lines, no "follow your dreams" filler. He just talked about the job itself - what it actually involves day to day, what companies are really looking for when they hire freshers now, and why waiting till final year to think about any of this is a mistake a lot of students make.
There's only so much a textbook can teach about a real job. Listening to someone talk about it while they're actually doing it, every single day - that hits differently. That's probably what shifted the room's mood. And post-lunch, of all times - when most students are usually half-asleep or checking the clock - this crowd stayed switched on instead.
By the time the programme wrapped up, students carried with them a bit more clarity about what lies ahead, some fresh motivation they didn't walk in with, and a genuine first sense of what this journey with the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies at Future University is going to feel like.
