The Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies held an Induction Programme on 31st August 2026 to welcome its newly admitted MBA students. The idea was straightforward - help the new batch settle into university life, give them a sense of what the programme has to offer, and get them thinking early about where a management degree could take them.
Among the people present were Mr. Mukesh Gupta, Chancellor; Prof. (Dr.) Rajendra Sinha, Vice-Chancellor; Dr. Anubhav Singh, Pro-Vice-Chancellor; and Prof. (Dr.) R. K. Sharma, Director IQAC, whose presence lent a fairly serious tone to the event.
What students seemed to connect with most, though, was the session with guest speakers Mr. Sarvan Singh and Ms. Satpreet Kaur, on topics like corporate life, management, leadership, and why it helps to have a career direction in mind well before placements begin.
By the time the session wrapped up, the new MBA batch had a clearer picture of what lay ahead, along with a fair bit of motivation to make a strong start with the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies.
