Powers and Functions of the University
As per the Uttar Pradesh Private Universities Act, 2019 (Amended 2024), Future University is empowered to:
- Offer Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Doctoral, and Diploma programs in various disciplines.
- Establish and maintain schools, departments, research centers, and affiliated institutions.
- Grant degrees, diplomas, and certifications in accordance with UGC and other statutory body regulations.
- Develop and maintain academic and research collaborations with national and international institutions.
- Promote entrepreneurship, innovation, and industry partnerships through incubation centers and research initiatives.
- Maintain academic autonomy while adhering to national education policies and standards.
Compliance with UGC and State Government Regulations
Future University adheres to all regulatory guidelines, including:
- UGC (Establishment of and Maintenance of Standards in Private Universities) Regulations, 2003.
- UGC Guidelines on Public Self-Disclosure by Higher Education Institutions.
- UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedures for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2022.
- AICTE, BCI, NMC, DCI, INC, NCTE, PCI, and other applicable regulatory frameworks.
- No Off-Campus Centers: As per the Hon'ble Supreme Court ruling in the case of Prof. Yashpal vs. State of Chhattisgarh, Future University does not have or recognize off-campus centers, affiliated colleges, or franchise agreements.
Academic and Administrative Governance
The governance structure of the university includes the following statutory bodies:
- Board of Governors – Responsible for the strategic direction and policy framework.
- Executive Council – Oversees academic, financial, and administrative matters.
- Academic Council – Manages academic programs, research, and faculty development.
- Finance Committee – Ensures financial planning, budget approvals, and compliance.
- Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) – Maintains academic and operational excellence.
